Hey guys! It’s been a minute. I’ve been totally slacking on my blog posts. We went on vacation and ittotally threw me off. Even though my blog has slacked off; my workouts have not. While on vacation I ran, hit the heavy bag and of course did tons of walking.
My nutrition is also still going well. There was a new seasonal flavor released (mocha) and it’s amazing! So I am still shaking and cleansing and leading an all around balanced life.
I got my updated body fat, visceral fat, etc. taken. I am happy to say that all of my numbers have decreased! Woohoo! My visceral fat stayed the same but everything else went down. My weight, BMI, BF and body fat mass. I can’t wait to see where my numbers go as I continue my healthy lifestyle and my half marathon training.
Here’s my workouts from the last week
Ran 2.37 miles
30 mins body step
Ran 2.51 miles
Ran 1.1 miles
Ran 2.19 miles
50 mins boxing
60 mins kickboxing
Ran 3.06 miles
Ran 3.56 miles
Ran 3.7 miles
Ran 8.31 miles
This week is going to be a great week!! I can’t wait to crush it!!
I know that rest days are needed; especially after the workout week I’ve had but sometimes they suck. Originally I was going to get in a long run but decided I wanted to take today off. Now that it’s 8:34 pm I’m wishing I hadn’t opted for a rest day 😩.. oh well. I’ve crushed this week, so it’s good that I am going to take today to recharge.
I am in a weight loss competition and it’s ending in the next 2 weeks. So I am going to have to kick it into high gear; this way I can finish up somewhere near the top.
I am going to continue to follow my nutritional rebalancing plan and work on keeping track of my macros. I also asked my husband to write me up 3 total body lifting routines that I can do next week. Maybe if he gives me a weight training plan; I’ll stick to it. I have the best results when I am lifting weights but it’s not something I enjoy, so I need a plan.
Here’s how my week went
- 3.0 mile run
- 60 mins body combat
- 50 mins cycle bar
- 4.5 mile run
- 5.0 mile run
- 30 mins RPM
- 20 mins shoulders & heavy bag work
- 2.3 mile run
- 50 mins boxing
Hopefully you guys are crushing this week and ending on a high note. Don’t let the weekend ruin all the hard work that you put in during the week.
Till next time!
Last night I was on an amazing team call that was full of wonderful takeaways and perfect little nuggets of knowledge.
As I continue to grow and work to improve myself from the inside out; these team calls have been giving me life. So as I share my run thoughts from today you will see affirmations sprinkled through out. My run thoughts are known for being a little funny, highly sarcastic, and full of my personality; now they will also hopefully be known for a little inspiration.
If you follow me on Facebook then you know how I start every list of run thoughts…..I won’t deviate.
Today’s run thoughts brought to you by the number 5
1. It’s a beautiful day for a run
2. I can run so I will
3. My hips don’t lie and right now they’re mad at me 💃🏽
4. Ahhh fresh air
5. Nope I lied – just sucked in a snout full of pig funk 🐷 welcome to boonies
6. Everyday my life will get a little better
7. My shoes are either tied too tight or too loose …I need a professional shoe tie-er
8. 2 days ago it was 50 degrees now it’s 120 degrees 😎
9. Holy hills batman
10. Light as a feather – I chant this because I tend to run heavy; problem with chanting this – the second half of the line – stiff as a board 😒
11. I can run so I will run
12. Was that my husband driving by? 👋🏾
13. Thank goodness back on my street
14. Crap I miss calculated and now I have to run past my house
15. I kind of look like a roll of lifesavers 🤔
16. Another 5.04 miles in the book
17. I can so I did
So yesterday was kind of a nutritional cleanse day….meaning I cleansed in the morning, forgot I RSVP’d for a luncheon and then finished up my cleanse after the luncheon.
If you’ve never heard of cellular cleansing; I’m sure you’ve heard of intermittent fasting. Same thing just a different phrase. It helps rid your body of toxins, reset your caloric burn, as well targets visceral fat (the fat you can’t easily see – it surrounds your organs).
Anyway so on my half cleanse day – I ran 3 miles in the morning and then went to body combat in the evening. If you’ve never tried a Les Mills body combat class – I highly recommend it. I’ve been trying to break a 700 calorie burn in that class for a few months now. I finally did it last night! 728 calories in 58 minutes! Woo hoo!!
Then this morning I had friend convince me to try Cycle bar. A new one just opened not far from me and I figured I would check it out while it was still free.
The instructor was awesome and she had a great playlist but the class isn’t really for me. You’re doing push-ups and using a weighted bar, in addition to being on the cadence she calls out.
Now with all of that said I did set another record! 750 calories gone in 50 mins! Say what??
Now that’s some awesome sauce right there. I will hopefully get in a second workout today and really set this day on fire!
So all in all Monday was a great day and Tuesday is off to a great start!
Get out and move something; you’ll thank me later.
Till the next workout !
So I’ve started this blog to share my workouts, nutrition and overall life.
Wait let me back up and give an intro…
My name is Danielle; I’m a wife and mother to 4 boys – crazy I know. I’m an avid workout person; one that has always battled the bulge.
I box, kickbox, spin, run, and lift weights (when forced)…. even with all of that I couldn’t lose weight.
January 2017 – I buckled down and started a nutritional rebalancing plan. This blog is going to document my journey. I hope that you will come along for the ride.
