Busy, Busy, Busy

Hello and happy Monday!!  Or maybe not happy Monday – all depends on your current view.  My Mondays are always happy!  Even if they are dreary and rainy.  So let me catch you up on my workouts and my weekend.

Thursday….  football practice; however I did mange to get in a 5 mile run!  Woohoo… that was my longest run since my half marathon. I also cleansed on Thursday – same thing as Intermittent Fasting.  Pretty awesome for your body.  Studies have shown that you can achieve great fat loss by following an intermittent fasting schedule; if you want to know about my schedule, I would love to share it with you.

Friday – I was in a total time crunch, only got in 30 mins of RPM, however I did burn over 300 calories in that 30 mins!  Friday night was the high school football game, fun times….

Saturday – I was on my own, as my hubby had to take one kid to a wrestling tournament that was about 90 mins away.  So I was left with the younger 2 and having to get to 2 football games, and squeeze in a workout. Luckily both boys were on the same field and the games were back to back.  However I was standing from 10 am until 4 pm….  my foot was killing me.  I also got up at 6 to get to the gym, so I could get my workout in before Paul got on the road. This time I burned 361 calories doing 30 mins of RPM.  Man I love me some RPM.  When I am pressed for time, its the best workout for me to get a serious calorie burn.

Sunday – again on my own for the day.  The boy and the hubby had to head back for more wrestling.  This time I had to hit the gym at 430 am in order to get my workout in because they needed to be on the road by 630…. ugh.  Yeah getting up at 4 am to be at the gym by 430 kicked my butt…..  I was exhausted and cranky all day.  I did keep my #JustDoItSunday run streak alive.  Which I have to say on Saturday night when I realized how late my husband was going to get back on Sunday and how early he had to leave,  I almost had a complete and total melt down.  The thought of breaking my run streak had me in a complete and total tizzy….  like ready to cry.  Yeah I get that OCD about things.  To run 42 consecutive Sundays, the thought of breaking that before I hit 52, was more than I could handle; so I went to bed and decided I was getting up at 4 to avoid breaking it.  Its a little crazy, and a lot dedication.  I am dedicated to hitting that goal, its one of many that I have.

Monday (today)  – 6 mile run, and 30 mins of RPM!  Woohoo….

For the rest of the week I haven’t really planned out my workouts yet.  I will at some point tonight.  I like to sit down with my dollar store calendar and write out my workout plan.  I usually do it at the beginning of the month.  Right now I have a skeleton schedule laid out, I need to fill in the details.  I’ll post a pic of it once its done.  I also set meetings with myself to make sure I get to the gym, or if its at a time that could impact my husband I set a meeting with him, so he knows I have gym plans.

I want to touch on 2 things….

  1. I am really good at setting workout goals and crushing them.  I am good at setting workout goals and doing everything in my power to make sure I achieve them.  I suck at setting weight loss goals.  I won’t set a number of pounds to lose every month, I don’t set any goals related to my weight loss journey.  I was pondering this and wondering if this is one of the reasons why my success rate hasn’t been the best.  Don’t get me wrong, I am losing weight and inches and body fat but it is slow going.  Am I self sabotaging by not setting hard line goals that I am obsessed with hitting? Is it easier with workout goals because I LOVE working out?  So even though it does take effort to hit my goals its not the same as setting a big scary goal.  Hmm….  thinking I need to set some big scary goals and get out of my comfort zone.
  2. Next I wanted to talk about my lifestyle changes.  I have joined with an amazing health and wellness company and I am bound and determined to share not only the products with everyone but I am determined to get to my goal.  I love the way I feel, and I just felt like I needed to share with everyone.  If you are tired of being sick & tired you are not alone.  Together we can set some big scary goals and crush them!

Lets be GOAL CRUSHERS this week!!  Lets do this!!!

Happy Running

Check In

Ok – so of course because I laid out my entire week of workouts it is not going as planned. Such is my life…..  So Monday I ran but just a little over a mile, my foot was acting up, and I didn’t want to over do it.  I did do rpm, and I lifted – so all in all not a bad day.  Tuesday I ended up with a sick kid at home, so it threw off my plans for a workout.  I ended up going to the gym at 9pm and doing 45 mins of rpm – again another great workout.  I got a serious calorie burn going.  Wednesday was a complete and total bust.  I had a chiropractor appointment, my son had a football game, so it really just cost me my entire  day.  So here we are at Thursday….  my plan was to go to MaTRX because I didn’t think I would get to the gym in the evening because of football; however it looks like I am going to boxing tonight!  Woohoo!  Now of course Friday is going to be up in the air because I forgot that my kids have a half day of school, so I’ll need to squeeze my workout in 1st thing in the morning or not at all; which I would hate to miss because I am definitely not working out on Saturday.  I’ll keep you posted on my crazy week.  Hopefully next week goes more according to plan.  It bothers me when my plans go awry.

I haven’t been to an official boxing class in about 2 months, so I am prepared to die a little….. 🙂 Good thing is I am going to get to see some of my gym family that I haven’t seen for most of the summer.  That makes me happy.

So as many of you know I have partnered with an amazing health and wellness company and I have my own virtual franchise.  Well there is some big news coming out on Oct 3rd!!  I can’t wait to share it, and let y’all in what’s coming up for this holiday season.  Its going to be ahhhmazeballs…..

Ok well….. I am going to post tomorrow – just so you all know that I survived boxing and I am still around to tell about it!  Ha ha…..

Happy Working Out!!

Back Again

Ok – I am not saying this is going to be an every day occurrence but here I am – 2 days in a row!  Woohoo…  I’ll try my best to keep the momentum going, and keep posting.

So today is the 1st day I’ve run since my half marathon last Sunday.  I had to run because I couldn’t break my #JustDoItSunday streak with Nike.  So today marked 41 Sundays in a row that I have run at least 3.1 miles – most Sundays it has been more than that.

Hard to believe that in just another 11 Sundays I will have run EVERY SINGLE SUNDAY for an ENTIRE year!!!  Yes I typed that in caps because I am screaming!!  This is huge! This is major!  This is AHHMazBalls!!

Let’s get to the nitty gritty – how did my foot/heel/ankle/ brokenness hold up – well let’s just say I was more than a minute per mile faster than my previous indoor run!  Say what??  Umm yeah  – a whole minute faster.  So I guess its fair to say that my brokenness held up just fine….  I think taking a week off from running probably really helped; I’ve only been spinning, lifting and boxing over this last week.  That full week off from running probably gave my injury a much needed rest.

I only ran 3.68 – originally I was going to shoot for 9.3 – I know that’s a weird number; but I am a part of a team for running 2017 miles in 2017 and my girl asked me to get 9.29 miles today to bring us to 1800 miles for the year.  As much as I wanted to do that and knock it out of the park – I also didn’t want to push it and have a set back.  So even though in my heart I wanted to keep running, I pulled myself back and finished happily with only completing 3.68 miles.

Ok so here is my plan for the week.  Oh wait before I get to that – I would like to point out that I dropped 1.7lbs this week!  Another woohoo for me!!  I’ll keep plugging along.  In another few weeks or so I will get my visceral fat checked again.  I really need to get a scale at home for checking it.  Do any of you have the Omiron scale that checks visceral fat?  If so drop me a line about what you think about it.  I would love some inside info on it before buying or asking my husband to buy it for me.

Ok now back to my workouts for the week.  I am a part of the #LoriHarderTribe  – so I’ve been trying to follow her September workout calendar; I’ve also been mixing in Katie Hill workouts; both are killer and have had me so sore – but in a good way.  Anyway – I digress – here is my plan for this week:

Monday – run 3-5 miles (we’ll see how I am feeling); Lori Harder workout 2

Tuesday – boxing at UFC

Wednesday – RPM; Lori Harder workout 3

Thursday – MaTRX (combo kickboxing & TRX class) at UFC

Friday – Run 3-5 miles; Lori Harder workout 3

Saturday – Rest

Sunday – #JustDoItSunday 5k

Ok there is my plan….. help me stick to it!  Check up on me!  Call me out!

I’ll be back to post again and keep y’all update –  I know you will be waiting with bated breath – I promise not to disappoint.  In the mean time while you are waiting on my next post – go out and move something!  Go for a run or a walk, enjoy the last days of summer that we are having here in the north east.

Happy Running!~

Rest Days Kinda Suck

I know that rest days are needed; especially after the workout week I’ve had but sometimes they suck. Originally I was going to get in a long run but decided I wanted to take today off. Now that it’s 8:34 pm I’m wishing I hadn’t opted for a rest day 😩.. oh well. I’ve crushed this week, so it’s good that I am going to take today to recharge.

I am in a weight loss competition and it’s ending in the next 2 weeks. So I am going to have to kick it into high gear; this way I can finish up somewhere near the top.

I am going to continue to follow my nutritional rebalancing plan and work on keeping track of my macros.  I also asked my husband to write me up 3 total body lifting routines that I can do next week. Maybe if he gives me a weight training plan; I’ll stick to it. I have the best results when I am lifting weights but it’s not something I enjoy, so I need a plan.

Here’s how my week went

Sunday

  • 4.0 mile run

Monday

  • 3.0 mile run
  • 60 mins body combat

Tuesday

  • 50 mins cycle bar
  • 4.5 mile run

Wednesday

  • 5.0 mile run
  • 30 mins RPM
  • 20 mins shoulders & heavy bag work

Thursday

  • 2.3 mile run
  • 50 mins boxing

Friday

  • Rest 😢

Hopefully you guys are crushing this week and ending on a high note. Don’t let the weekend ruin all the hard work that you put in during the week.

Till next time!
